Preliminary Program Of The Baltic PR Weekend 2011 Announced

The preliminary program of the eleventh international conference The Baltic PR Weekend has been announced. The conference will take place in Saint Petersburg on September 22-23, 2011.

Within the framework of The Baltic PR Weekend it is planned to hold round tables on the following topics:

1.    Multimediareality: trends and practice
2.    Territorial branding: the potential and resources of promoting Russian regions
3.    Investor relations and financial communications after the recession
4.    Communicating innovations
5.    Sport as a communications strategy and the field for its implementation
6.    On the threshold of elections
7.    Legal and ethical norms in communications. International and Russian experience.

The Baltic PR Weekend is the biggest international conference on communications in Eastern Europe. The conference unites PR experts from Russia and other countries, state authorities, representatives of the business community, the mass media and educational and non-profit organizations interested in the development of professional and ethical communications.
In 2010 the conference celebrated its 10th anniversary. Over 4100 specialists from 22 countries have taken part in the conference since 2001. During the ten conferences over 170 experts have delivered their reports and 71 round tables dedicated to global and national trends in the development of PR and marketing communications have been carried out.

        Among the speakers of The Baltic PR Weekend 2001-2010 there were:

•    Sergey Brilev, Presenter of “Vesti v Subbotu” (“Vesti on Saturday”), an analytical program on the TV channel “Rossiya” (“Russia”);
•    Stanislav Naumov, State Secretary – Deputy Minister of Industry and Trade of Russia, and others.
•    Andrey Vasilyev, Former Editor of “Kommersant. Publishing House” Joint Editorial Department;
•    Sofia Malyavina, Assistant to the Russian Minister of Public Health and Social Development;
•    Vladimir Medinskiy, State Duma Deputy to the Russian Federal Assembly, Chairman of the Sub-Committee for Technical Regulation of the State Duma Committee for Economic Policy and Entrepreneurship;
